VU SR Council is...
a governing body of VU SR responsible for matters relating to cooperation and the internal affairs of the organisation. This governing body consists of the heads (chairs) of the organisational units carrying out representative functions and the President, who coordinates the work of this governing body.

During the reporting period, 15 meetings of the VU SR Council were held, 7 of which took the form of electronic votes.
In 2025–2026, the VU SR Council considered and/or adopted the following decisions:
- approved the budgets for VU SR unit first-year student camps, unit days, the VU SR birthday, spring training sessions and other organizational events;
- considered and approved the budgets of major VU SR projects, including Vilnius University Career Days, MIDI, The COINS, SMMS, MeDi and other projects;
- considered matters related to VU SR financial planning, including finances after the first-year student camps, the planning of the 2026 budget and the presentation of the draft budget;
- discussed the progress made in implementing the organization's strategic objectives, annual activity plan and unit-level objectives, as well as the preparation of reports;
- considered improvements to VU SR internal processes, including planning, knowledge transfer, reporting and election conferences, the delegation of student representatives and responsibilities descriptions;
- established a working group to update questions related to membership and student representative tests, and considered the outcomes of this working group;
- considered and approved the VU SR Marketing Strategy, as well as considered and approved the Communication Strategy;
- discussed matters concerning student integration, first-year student camps, the selection of mentors, the community survey, training and the engagement of members of the organization;
- considered issues related to the inclusion of international students, interculturality and the adaptation of VU SR internal processes to the international community;
- discussed representation issues relevant to students at university and national level, including study quality, micro-credentials, the social dimension, the loan model, dormitories, scholarships for future teachers, summer internships and infrastructure;
- considered the directions of VU SR cooperation with external partners, including LiJOT, UAB Membas, foreign universities and other student or youth organizations;
- discussed initiatives related to community-building, sustainability and social responsibility, including VU SR Sustainability Week, the DAROM campaign in cooperation with VU, the VU SR birthday and other events bringing the community together.
VU SR Bureau-Council Off-site meeting
During the reporting period, summer and winter off-site meetings of the VU SR Bureau and Council were organized. These meetings provided conditions for consistent joint work between the VU SR Bureau and Council, discussion of the organization's overall areas of activity, competence development, and consideration of strategic issues.
The summer off-site meeting was dedicated to preparing for the new organizational year. During the meeting, common agreements for the coming year, internal organizational matters, representation priorities and strategic directions were discussed. Competence-building, representation and strategic planning sessions were also held, laying out the groundwork for the further work of the Bureau and the Council.
The winter off-site meeting was dedicated to evaluating the year’s activities and planning further work. During the meeting, participants discussed the progress made in implementing the objectives set, identified current issues relevant to the organization's activities, and agreed on further actions and priorities.
